Private Tuition

Dr Rock Education offers a comprehensive tutoring service in Geography and Geology.  This can be one-to-one or small group tuition, delivered in the comfort of your own home, or in a public space such as a library if requested.

Teaching plans are always individualised for the specific client, and subjects can be covered at all levels from age 6+, including KS2, KS3, GCSE, A Level and degree!

Tuition is provided by Dr Glenn Havelock (BSc, MSc, PhD), an academic and teacher with 25+ years experience in geology, and 10+ years full time teaching experience in geology and geography.

Availability

One hour tuition sessions are available for booking at 4:00 - 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. Other time slots may be available by request.

Getting started!

This involves 2 stages:

(1) Contact us (via phone or email) to arrange an initial consultation meeting, given either at your home or online via Teams/Zoom. This is so that we can get to know your requirements, the tutor and client can meet, and we can plan our way forward. There will be a minimal £5 charge for this 20-30 minute meeting, payable in advance.

(2) Book all subsequent 1 hour tuition lessons online, via the "Private Tuition" link on the "Book Online" page. The tuition fee must be paid in advance during the booking process.

(1) KS1 or KS2 (age 7 to 14) Geography and Geology - £30/hour

(2) GCSE Geography and Geology - £30/hour

(3) A Level Geography and Geology - £30/hour

(4) BSc Geology and Earth Science - £35/hour
